The August member's competition will be targeting Spanish Mackerel & Billfish (take 2). Heaviest Spanish Mackerel presented to the weighmaster (kg) wins. Senior & Junior prizes available. Due to no Billfish being presented last month, we are going to run this alongside the Spanish Mackerel members competition. Please note the rules below as they will apply to this comp. Our Billfish competition prize is proudly sponsored by CNW. Billfish comp details & rules: Saturday 12th August, lines in from 0600hrs and video/photo submission at the club rooms between 4-5pm. Presentation will be shortly after. All Marlin & Sailfish are to be free released, no billfish to be brought to the clubrooms. Please avoid lifting any fish out of the water. Clear photo/video evidence of any sailfish or billfish caught for points to be awarded. Fish to be no further than 3m away from the boat, fish can be held in water by the bill or the leader. Only monofilament nylon is to be used for leader and trace. Dacron wind on leaders will be acceptable. NO WIRE to be used at all. Eligible species & points: Sailfish- 500pts, Marlin- 1000pts. All size fish count. Billfish winner will be highest points scored. BBQ & refreshments will also be available.
